At Acante, customer experience is at the forefront of everything we do. To help us build stable and reliable software systems that provide user-friendly customer experience, we're looking for a DevOps engineer who can be responsible for deploying product updates, identifying production issues, and implementing provisioning and release processes. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in software engineering and be familiar with Terraform and Python, and will work with developers and engineers to ensure that software development follows established processes and works as intended.

Responsibilities

Working with software engineers to automate and improve development and release processes across the CI/CD pipeline
Implementing new development tools and infrastructure to reduce occurrence of errors
Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
Building monitoring alerts and incident response processes
Performing root cause analysis of production errors and deploying software updates and fixes

Partner with other engineers and designers to create fast and beautiful end-to-end user experiences

Build web applications on AWS ecosystem

Balance agility with quality, performance, and maintainability; create reusable code and libraries for future use

Shape product strategy and guide feature prioritization

Conduct proof of concept activities with customers in support of use cases

Lead and mentor other team members as the company grows

Qualifications

Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
At least 3 years of production-level experience as a DevOps engineer or in a similar software engineering role
Bachelor of science degree (or equivalent) in computer science, engineering, or relevant field
Proficiency with AWS, Terraform, Git and GitHub workflows
Working knowledge of Kubernetes, Python, SQL and GraphQL technologies
Problem-solving attitude and collaborative team spirit

Strong CS fundamentals with a track record of writing production-quality code

Full stack development experience with expertise in React frontend framework and technologies

Experience with GraphQL and NodeJS (preferably NestJS)

Experience with building web applications on AWS ecosystem

(Some) experience with SSO and web authentication

Experience with different stores like S3, Typesense, ElasticSearch, MongoDB, PostgreSQL

Excellent product/design sense and attention to detail

B.S. in Computer Science with 7+ years of experience

PLUS: Development experience in Github Actions or Cloudformation or Terraform
